Location: South Africa, Remote (must be located in South Africa on a permanent basis with no restrictions to work) 100% remote work-from-home position. South African residents only.

Pay Rate: $6.50 USD per hour (Paid via PayPal)

Contract: 6-month contract with an extension likely. Self-employed contractor responsible for own taxes. No benefits.

The Role:

As a YouTube Marketing Assistant (Video Creator) for Twinkl South Africa, you’ll work as part of the social media team creating viral video content that will be posted on YouTube. You will be an experienced and creative video creator who has a passion for making a difference and community upliftment in South Africa. You will bring video content to life for educators, parents and children through interviews, bitesize learning, and relatable content.

You will be the face and voice of the South African Twinkl videos. You’ll be responsible for ideating and creating video content for our channel and posting at key times of day for optimal engagement. You’ll be responsible for growing the channel and successfully implementing marketing campaigns for new and established customers.

Your finger must be on the pulse of social trends in education and video creation!

You’ll develop an in-depth understanding of the Twinkl brand, voice, mission, and vision and make sure that your video content meets the needs of our target audience - preschool to grade 9 educators, parents and children - through relevant and appropriate messaging.

• The South African Production Teams

Requirements

To succeed in the role, you will have the following skillset:

• YouTube video fanatic with a great sense of humour!
• Be passionate about making a change in South African education communities.
• Compelling, entertaining, relatable persona - you cannot be camera shy for this role!
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of YouTube.
• Have experience working on a thriving existing YouTube channel with a highly-engaged follower base.
• Excellent organisational skills.
• Be able to create content using a variety of different techniques
• Be comfortable conducting interviews and reaching out to partners, colleagues etc
• Exceptional spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
• Goal-oriented and results-focused.
• Ability to connect quickly and authentically with our focus market!
• Fluent in English amp; other South African languages (ideally, Afrikaans, isiZulu, isiXhosa) - both written amp; spoken.
• Must have a back up generator for Load Shedding times.
