Quality Analyst Intern

At Jem, our product is the primary means of achieving our mission to connect employers and their deskless employees digitally, helping employers digitise their HR processes and streamline communication. We are looking for a Quality Analyst Intern to join our product and engineering teams.

What you are going to do:

• Writing test cases
• Manual testing of the assigned tasks within web apps
• API testing with Postman
• Drive continuous improvement in test coverage and test effectiveness
• Identify and communicate risks(bugs) and lead bug triage
• Execution, scheduling, and reporting of tests
• Execute and monitor automated tests

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

• Relevant Degree or Diploma in computer science or Information Technology
• Familiarity with a range of standard QA testing methodologies (smoke testing, functional testing, negative testing, regression testing, ad hoc testing, etc).
• Basic knowledge of SDLC (agile, waterfall, etc).
• Clear knowledge of standard Microsoft Office applications.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft SQL.
• Basic knowledge of Postman
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise work independently under deadlines, collaborating across the team as needed.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and analyse issues quickly.
• Excellent communication.

• 1-2 years experience in Software Quality Assurance
• Experience with some testing tools
