Pele Green Energy is seeking a talented, highly motivated, and self-driven Project Engineering Intern. The Intern will report directly to the Project Engineer. The Intern Engineer will provide technical support to the Project Development team, by way of supporting yield studies, analysing technical reports and grid integration studies, and supporting EPC tender processes for utility scale Renewable Energy projects. They will also support the design amp; implementation of the off-grid installations.
Job Responsibilities
Technical scope
Support the analysis of grid integration studies, Bill of Materials, technical reports, engineering designs and drawings, and yield studies to provide inputs to the development cycles of projects.
Provide support for procurement processes for EPC and Oamp;M scopes of work.
Support yield simulations and energy resource assessments for solar PV, hybrid, and wind technologies.
Support engineering technical due diligence.
Where needed, support the Asset Management Engineering team with operational solar and wind plant issues.
For off-grid solar PV projects:
Support client engagements, pre-feasibility assessments, high level proposal compilation, detailed design amp; internal costing, compilation of Bills of Quantities and pricing, and assist with final client presentations.
Technical assistance with project implementation, weekly meetings amp; reports, risk assessment amp; mitigation, and collaboration with project team to ensure on-time and under-budget completion targets.
Administrative Scope
Ensure diary alignment for meetings with project stakeholders, scheduling meetings, and ensuring availability of meeting venues.
Prepare agendas for project meetings in a suitable format.
Take minutes of all project meetings, identifying clear action items and deadlines.
Maintain up to date project documents such as issue logs, risk logs and Question and Answer registers for technical scope of work.
Perform market surveys, technology reviews and/or research by way of reviewing and summarizing industry reports and vendor documents.
Administer supplier relationships and keeping up to date databases of services, offerings and associated costs.
