Our Opportunity:
We are looking for energetic, self-motivated and passionate individuals to join our South African team as Project Managers, based in our Durban (Umhlanga) office.
This teams’ role is to manage all operational aspects of project delivery for our quantitative research projects. You will be delivering projects commissioned by the UK and South African Research Teams but carried out all over the globe.
As Project Manager, you will take overall responsibility for project execution from the point of commission and ensure the project is executed according to the specification set out by the client-facing Research Teams.
Our Project Management Team was created in 2020 and we are now growing the team following the initial success of the function. We are looking for individuals with knowledge of the research project lifecycle to continue to establish the new function within the business and to ensure the vision of the team is realized.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Project setup and ownership of project timings, project admin, information sharing across relevant teams and raising supplier POs when needed
- Ownership of the survey link ensuring the survey accurately reflects the questionnaire, seeking help from Research Associates to thoroughly check the link
- Managing the provision of translations where relevant
- Monitoring the project during field ensuring quotas and timings are met and raising any issues or delays to the Project Owner
- Ensuring tables created are in line with the tab spec, seeking help from Research Associates to thoroughly check the tables
- Liaising with all relevant departments to ensure smooth project progress
- Keeping tabs on timings and budget and flagging any issues to the Research Team if anything is going off-50050
Requirements
Our successful candidate will have:
- Strong organisational amp; time management skills (essential)
- Strong communication skills (essential)
- Solid Microsoft office skills including Word and Excel (essential)
- Strong team player and be proactive and forward thinking (essential)
- A high level of numeracy (desired)
- Willingness to travel across Africa to observe and conduct fieldwork (desirable)
- Experience in a similar role would be advantageous
- Experience in Market Research would be beneficial
- Ability to speak African languages would be a bonus
