Motion Graphics Designer

As a Motion Graphics Designer, you will collaborate with the graphic design and learning design teams to ideate and create motion graphic storyboards, then bring them to life and to deliver high-quality, high-energy and innovative motion graphic content that appeals to our learner base of students aged 14 to 18.

Key Responsibilities

• Design the motion graphic style for the project to ensure consistency across courses.
• Collaborate with learning designers to ideate the motion graphic.
• At times, overlay motion graphic scenes on filmed content and
• Perform light editing on filmed content to ensure appropriate timing and consistency of audio and video quality.
• Edit audio to ensure sound quality and consistency.
• Create simple but fun and engaging motion graphics that serve the learning goals.
• Provide accurate time estimates for each part of the process.
• Encoding, converting and editing videos and adding effects/elements to enhance motion graphics.
• Responsible for training and developing others in the use of animation software.
• Keeping abreast of advancements in animation as well as new technologies and techniques, contemporary trends in production design and popular music to deliver cutting edge work.

Requirements

• A creative individual that brings energy to the design process
• Adobe After Effects and Illustrator are required, Premier would be an advantage
• Ability to design and enforce brand style guidelines
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially as we are in a remote environment.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment with shifting priorities
• Comfortable working remotely
• Excellent time-management skills.
• Detail-oriented with the desire to improve through feedback.
• Your own laptop is an advantage, but not a requirement.

• A portfolio of your best projects to date. We are willing to accept junior candidates who show promise.
