Job Description
Dentons is currently recruiting a PowerApps Specialist to support the implementation of a significant global Finance transformation early benefits initiative that supports cross regional billing (IVB) as well as to provide ongoing PowerApps support in a BAU capacity.
This position will work alongside the existing project team through the final stages of SIT testing and then take responsibility for the PowerApps application and PowerBI dashboard used in the solution. Once the early benefit IVB is live this role will support the business in the operation of the IVB service whilst working with the relevant stakeholders in the Global Finance Transformation program to transition the IVB solution to the new practice management system, due to go live in 2023.
The role will report to the Global Services Lead and work closely with PowerBI platform team, the Global Data Insights team and the Global Billing Services Lead. The role will interface with global stakeholders and teams to provide ongoing support and development of this business critical solution.
As the PowerApps Specialist you will be joining the Global Finance Transformation program at an exciting time. Having delivered the first of the early benefits initiatives associated with the program, Dentons are looking to embed this second initiative, IVB, into the business during the course of 2021, whilst at the same time working through a process of business validation, build and testing of the end-to-end global finance transformation.
The Global Finance Transformation program is a truly global program designed to transform Dentons' Finance function into the business partnering function of the future. It will support the business by offering true business insight, efficient and effective processes while maintaining the necessary compliance and controls.
As a polycentric organization Dentons this role will interface with global/regional leadership, global/regional subject matter experts, global/regional PMO and global/regional change teams to support regional alignment and adoption.

Key Deliverables
- Support of the IVB project as it transitions through EVT, UAT and Go live
- Ongoing support of the IVB solution to ensure it remains operational and meets users’ requirements.
- Support the PowerApps and PowerBI components of the IVB solution through EVT, UAT and Go live and beyond
- Working with the SI/developer to transition development knowledge and troubleshooting capability, creating and maintaining documentation for the solution
- Working with the EDI team to manage the underlying data sources and to develop and enhance the solution as required, to include additional reports/dashboards etc, at the same time working within the PowerBI governance framework for Dentons
- Working with the PowerBI platform owner to ensure successful and secure delivery of the PowerApps/PowerBI dashboard to all designated users
- Working with the 3E application support lead and Global integration lead to ensure data flows accurately, securely and completely across the system
- Working with the Global Billing Services Lead to provide support to the project team, and then to business users as required.
- Support Global Billing Services Lead in the oversight of the strategic backlogs to ensure that priorities are identified for development 3 to 6 months in advance.
- Working with the 3E application support lead, EDI team and Global integrations lead to manage and maintain the security model for users of PowerApps
- Provide Dentons with subject matter expertise for the ongoing deployment of PowerApps across Dentons
- Identification of issues and appropriate escalation to management.
