Purpose:

We are looking for a BI Analyst in marketing that understands how data is turned into information and knowledge and how that knowledge supports and enables key business processes. They must have an in-depth understanding of the business environment and an interest in going beyond the obvious, delving into the source, the definition and foundational roots of a data element in order to create accurate information and insights. This is a cross functional role that requires framing business problems, maintaining data needed for analysis, synthesizing results and making recommendations to the executive team and other leaders in various departments.

The role of our Champion:

  • Maintain and develop dashboards, tools, and analysis to empower the Marketing team and wider organisation to answer their most critical questions.
  • Monitor and report out on key funnel metrics (including metrics related to acquisition, conversion, retention), identifying drivers of metric changes and iterating on reporting process to maximize adoption of insights
  • Build best in class datasets Leverage our in team ETL developer and data lake to build integrated datasets that provide a central view into our customers. Marketing and product performance.
  • Take responsibility for implementation and maintenance of Marketing Analytics tools including
    • PowerBI
    • Salesforce
    • HubSpot
    • Google Analytics/AdWords
    • Third party vendor tools
  • Conduct data quality and governance checks to ensure that the information inside these tools are accurate, consistent and supports analysis at all times.
  • Assist the wider marketing team in drawing conclusions from data by either building Power BI reports and or providing ad hoc excel/power point extracts from a multitude of different data sources.
  • Proactively identify gaps in analytics and drive data related programs with product and engineering to address these gaps.
  • Work with all key relevant stakeholders that key information is being represented in the dashboards that facilitates quick decision making
  • Validate, mine, and join data from multiple internal/external sources in all phases for business analytics.
  • Build Forecasting, Segmentation and Clustering models
  • Work together with the in department BI Developer amp; Data Scientist to expand the Marketing analytics platform.
  • Act as a liaison with marketing, sales, product and other business teams.

Requirements

The capabilities of our Champion:

  • Have a bachelor’s degree in information systems/ math or actuarial science.
  • Experience in analysis of large datasets (100 Million +)
  • Have 4-5 Years proven experience analyzing big data with SQL
