Shop Assistant

Job Description
We are looking to for a energetic, customer focused shop assistant to ensure the efficient running of in store retail functions. The successful shop assistant’s duties include monitoring customer activities to prevent incidents of shoplifting, welcoming customers to our shop, arrange window displays accordingly, and assist in processing customer refunds.
Duties
Help customers locate desired shop items.
Organise, process and receive deliveries and shipments accordingly.
Advise customers of shop promotions to ensure purchases.
Perform regular price audits to correct and identify price discrepancies.
Restock depleted shop items and ensure sales floor is organised in accordance to standard guidelines
Maintain in depth knowledge of store items to provide advice and recommendations when required
Use the shop's Point of Sale to process customer payments.
Resolve and address customer complaints in a timely and professional manner
Requirements
Grade 11-12, diploma
Retail sales proven experience. Successful shop assistant without experience will be trained
Able to stand extended hours.
Fast paced working environment.
Use pricing and labeling equipment as well as Point of Sale
Details oriented.
Strong organisational abilities.
Effective communication abilities.
Excellent customer service abilities.
