Requirements

• At least 5 years experience in software development

Anyone can write code. However it takes a bit of experience to write code that balances elegance, maintainability, efficiency and quality.

• At least 2 years experience in the payments industry

We know, it’s a pretty niche industry but it’s a difficult to design robust payments systems unless you’ve had some experience using them. Also, it’s hard to mentor junior team members when they have more payments experience than you.

• Be strong with Java

Our backend systems are built on this. They are high performance systems that really require you to know what you’re doing in Java.

• A university degree

Any degree really. We need your proven analytical skillz here with the ability to work in high stakes (we’re working with other people’s money here!) and highly complex environments. The stuff we do has a material impact on the world and also therefore is high reward, but that also means it comes with high risk. You can’t always just learn it on the job. We need to know that you know what you’re doing.

We’ll be growing you into someone that has the following skills which is why it’s beneficial to already have them:
