The Role

The successful candidate would be responsible for overseeing software development teams and working under the agile methodology. The candidate will have to show a proven leadership skill, ability to think critically and problem- solve, and a track-record of ensuring project milestones and deadlines are met.

The duties and responsibilities of the role will be as follows:

  • Facilitate daily scrums, stand-ups, and meetings to monitor project progress and resolve any issues the team may be experiencing
  • Shape team behavior through excellent management via the agile method
  • Perform reviews with software development team members
  • Document progress and communicate to management and stakeholders
  • Ensure milestones are reached and deadlines are met throughout project life-cycle
  • Assist with internal communication and improve transparency
  • Support and educate the Product Owner, especially with respect to grooming and maintaining the product backlog
  • Guide the team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and self-organizing to fill in the intentional gaps left in the Agile/Scrum frameworks
  • Facilitate discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution


Essential Skills

  • A proven track record of successfully implementing software projects using Agile methodologies and having worked in a capacity as an Agile Scrum Manager on at least 4 projects
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills and experience interacting with both business and IT individuals at all levels including the executive level
  • Demonstrated experience in using tools such as: Jira, Agilefant or equivalent and Microsoft Project, Visio

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline with IT focus / Msc preferred
  • General Agile and Scrum training
