Webafrica is on the hunt for a Senior Netops and Systems engineer to take on the challenge of ensuring our IT infrastructure purrs like a kitten in its happy place.

Requirements
Minimum requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
- CCNA [Mandatory please do not apply if you do not hold a CCNA certification]
- Comptia Linux+ or better
Experience (5 years+) [Preferably have worked within the ISP/hosting sector]:
- Microsoft Windows Server (Deploy, maintain, update/upgrade)
- Linux Administration, CentOS amp; Ubuntu (Deploy, maintain, update, migrate) [NB]
- Web Server deployment amp; maintenance, Microsoft IIS, Apache, NGINX
- Experience with automation tools such as Ansible
- Experience with monitoring tools such as PRTG, Cacti, Observium
- MSSQL, MySQL/MariaDB (Deploy, maintain, update/upgrade, performance tuning)
- Scripting (Bash, Python, PowerShell, etc)
- Virtualisation Experience (Hyper-V, Microsoft System Centre: VMM, DPM)
- Networking experience (Routing and Switching at Enterprise Level) [NB]
- Systems Security (firewalling, CVE, pen-testing, etc) [NB]
- Radius (specifically Freeradius), deployment and maintenance [NB]
- KEA (DHCPd), deployment and maintenance
- IPv4 amp; IPv6 address management [NB]

What will you be doing, exactly?
- Design and deploy new systems and infrastructure.
- Build, upgrade and maintain server hardware.
- Ensure existing systems and infrastructure are kept up to date.
- Maintain Virtualization Environment (Hosts/VMs, VMM, DPM, Hyper-V)
- Perform troubleshooting, repairs and downtime mitigation on systems/hardware.
- Maintain networkwide backups (virtualization and flat file)
- MSSQL amp; MySQL (MariaDB) database deployment and maintenance
- IP address pool management (IPv4 amp; IPv6), including broadband DHCPd services
- Radius services (Freeradius) management
- Manage routing amp; switching / netops in DC (CPT), office (CPT + JHB)
- Monitoring of customer connectivity network
- Document existing environments and change control
