The Faircape Group operates 6 high end retirement/lifestyle villages in the Western Cape.

These busy facilities are situated in prime locations across the Western Cape: (Bridgewater and Heritage Manors in Somerset West, Cle Du Cap in Kirstenhof, Noordhoek Manor in Noordhoek and Onrus Manor in Onrus).

We are seeking Senior Housekeepers to ensure overall cleanliness and upkeep of our facilities by carrying out various cleaning duties.

Job duties include, but is not limited to the following:

• General cleaning of designated facility areas as required including but not limited to dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping etc
• Perform specialised cleaning in the healthcare
• Perform and document routine inspection activities
• Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects upon request
• Ensure all walkways remain clear and free of debris
• Notify management of any repairs required (light bulb replacements, leaking basins ect)
• Mix and dispose of all cleaning solutions appropriately
• Follow all health and safety regulations
• In the absence of supervisor, assisting with supervisory tasks
• Able to attend to urgent/ unplanned housekeeping tasks as directed by supervisor/ housekeeping manager or unit manager

Requirements

Experience and knowledge:

• Minimum of 2 years cleaning experience preferable
• Leadership abilities
• Flexible
• Reliable
• Organised
• Creative and takes initiative
• Enthusiastic and friendly
• Excellent working knowledge of cleaning appliances and their operations
• Knowledge regarding the proper use of cleaning/chemical agents
• Attention to detail and good communication skills
• We will require a written reference in order to proceed with your application

Benefits

Salary on offer from R 5,000 Cost to Company per month.
