Job Description

RPO Recruitment's client is in search of a Finance and Property Administrator to join their Cape Town team.

The ideal candidate for this role should be detail-oriented, possess a strong understanding of debt collection, and be willing to contribute to the management of commercial and residential property portfolios. A key aspect of this position is the proactive approach to debt collection, involving daily engagement with slow-paying clients and the ability to persuade them to settle outstanding debts.

Duties Include the following:

Ø Key Focus Areas:

  • Daily Debt Collections and actively engaging slow paying clients.
  • Daily cashflow updates and collection reports.
  • Liaising with Legal and Senior Management on approaches to trying to get slow paying clients to pay.
  • Daily Telephonic calls to clients
  • Timely preparation of legal files for debt handover and attention to detail in putting the necessary information together.
  • Daily Bank processing and reconciliations so that Debtors Aging is live and updated at all times.

Ø Secondary Focus Areas:

  • Assist with Commercial and Residential Property Maintenance and getting quotes, reconciling monthly rentals received and statements.
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate records of properties, including lease agreements, property details, and tenant information.
  • Coordinate property inspections and address maintenance issues promptly.
  • Work closely with vendors and maintenance teams to ensure property upkeep.
  • Collaborate with property owners, tenants, and vendors to address inquiries and resolve issues.
  • Assist with the maintenance and running of internal staffing offices.

Requirements

  • Diploma in bookkeeping or similar.
  • Driver's License
  • Experience with Debtors is important and working knowledge of property management will be a plus.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using property management software and Microsoft Office applications Advantageous
