Role Overview
We are expanding our reach and seeking a visionary Lead Data Engineer to spearhead our data engineering efforts, driving innovation and growth. With a passion for data-driven decision-making, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of banking for millions.
Roles and responsibilities
- Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
- Work with outside data sources and APIs
- Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability
- Work on bug fixing and improving application performance
- Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
Requirements
- 5-7 years of experience in data engineering, with a proven track record of leading teams.
- Exceptional SQL writing skills, with a strong preference for candidates experienced in multiple databases, particularly MS SQL Server and Google BigQuery.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, Go, Python, Java, and Scala.
- Strong data modelling skills, with experience managing data structures using the Kimball approach and Data Vault methodologies.
- Familiarity with data integration tools like SSIS, ADF, dbt Cloud, Dataform and Airbyte.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to design and optimize data systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
