Job Description

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join their team as the Head of Business Development in the Solar Industry. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in driving growth and innovation in the renewable energy sector in Cape Town.

As the Head of Business Development, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to expand market share, identify new business opportunities, and drive revenue growth. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and industry influencers.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy for the solar industry
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including project development, partnerships, and acquisitions
  • Build and maintain relationships with key clients, partners, and industry influencers
  • Lead the negotiation and execution of contracts and agreements
  • Stay up-to-date with market trends, industry developments, and competitive landscape
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to clients, partners, and other stakeholders
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful project implementation and delivery
  • Monitor and report on business development activities and performance

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field
  • Proven track record in business development within the solar industry or renewable energy sector
  • Strong knowledge of solar technologies, products, and market trends
  • Experience in project development, including feasibility assessments, financial modeling, and risk analysis
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Strategic thinking and analytical abilities
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and industry influencers
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Willingness to travel as required
