Hire Resolve is currently looking for a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager in the Air Freight Industry to join a reputable company in Port Elizabeth. As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all operations related to air freight, ensuring smooth and efficient processes, and delivering exceptional service to clients.
Your main duties will include managing a team, developing and implementing operational strategies, optimizing costs and resources, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all operational activities related to air freight, including import/export processes, customs clearance, and transportation.
- Develop and implement effective operational strategies and processes to streamline operations and improve overall efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and relevant quality and safety standards.
- Manage a team of operational staff, providing guidance, support, and coaching as needed.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as sales, customer service, and finance, to ensure smooth coordination and delivery of services to clients.
- Maintain effective relationships with clients, addressing any concerns or issues promptly and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management within the air freight industry.
- Strong knowledge of air freight processes, customs regulations, and transportation logistics.
- Experience in managing a team and driving operational excellence.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement effective solutions.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and compliance requirements.
- Proficient in using relevant software and technology platforms.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
