Hire Resolve is currently partnering with a leading steel supplier company in the industry, who is seeking an Engineering Manager to join their team. This position will be based in Gauteng.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the engineering team to ensure the efficient running of the department and the successful completion of projects
- Develop and implement engineering strategies, plans, and goals to drive performance and achieve business objectives
- Oversee the design, development, and implementation of engineering projects, ensuring adherence to quality standards and timelines
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address engineering-related issues and drive continuous improvement
- Manage budgets and resources effectively, ensuring cost-efficiency and maximized productivity
- Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the engineering department
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
- Proven experience in a managerial role within the steel supplier industry
- In-depth knowledge of steel manufacturing processes and technologies
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices
