RPO Recruitment is currently searching for a dedicated Civil Quantity Surveyor to join a reputable construction company based in Cape Town. As a Civil Quantity Surveyor, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting construction projects and contribute to their success by effectively managing costs and budgets.

• Prepare accurate estimates, budgets, and cost plans for construction projects
• Conduct detailed cost analysis and provide precise cost forecasts for materials, labor, and equipment
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to identify and assess potential risks, ensuring cost-effective solutions
• Monitor project progress and financial performance, making necessary adjustments to maintain budget adherence
• Analyze and validate claims for variations and adjust budgets accordingly
• Visit project sites regularly to assess actual quantities and site conditions against estimates
• Compile comprehensive reports on cost variations, project performance, and financial metrics

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field
• Proven experience as a Civil Quantity Surveyor, preferably in the construction industry
• Strong knowledge of cost control, cost planning, and project management techniques
• Proficiency in computer-aided estimating software and Microsoft Office suite
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills, with a keen attention to detail
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and effectively communicate with project stakeholders
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines
