Job Description
RPO Recruitment is currently seeking a talented Building Quantity Surveyor to join our client's team in Cape Town. As a Building Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of building construction projects, ensuring accurate costing, budgeting, and cost control. - Prepare accurate estimates, budgets, and cost plans for building construction projects
- Conduct comprehensive cost analysis and provide accurate cost forecasts for materials, labor, and equipment
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to identify and assess potential risks, ensuring cost-effective solutions
- Monitor project progress and financial performance, making necessary adjustments to maintain budget adherence
- Analyze and validate claims for variations and adjust budgets accordingly
- Prepare and present reports on cost variations, project performance, and financial metrics
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Building Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of cost control, cost planning, and project management techniques
- Proficiency in computer-aided estimating software and Microsoft Office suite
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills, with attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and effectively communicate with project stakeholders
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines
