Job Description

Reporting Line: Marketing Manager (UK)

Hybrid work model: Minimum two days a week in the office with option to work remotely for remaining three days

Employment type: Permanent

Working hours: 09H00 to 17H30

Primary Purpose

The Content Coordinator will produce compelling content and curate campaigns for social media and digital platforms to promote online undergraduate and postgraduate programmes globally to prospective students.

Key Responsibilities

    • Create student-focused, engaging content for websites, email, and social media.
    • Using a content management system (CMS) to edit or update information on existing websites.
    • Collaborate with the Digital Platform Coordinator, web development partners, and media agencies to develop content, strategies and styles that attract and convert prospective students.
    • Analyse the search landscape to align content with SEO goals and generate innovative ideas that drive results.
    • Write and optimise copy for SEO.
    • Proofread and sign off copy to use on OES websites.
    • Develop link-building/gathering strategies to increase overall traffic.
    • Coordinate and update onsite blogs.
    • Analyse content/campaign effectiveness and relevant KPIs using tools like Google Analytics, providing insightful reports for the senior management team.
    • Conduct competitor analysis and stay updated with the latest industry trends and news when required.
    • Repurpose and optimise existing digital content with a focus on driving traffic to OES websites.
    • Support the execution of content plans in line with external trends, campaign activities, and new programme launches.

    • A significant increase in organic website visits indicates successful SEO strategies.
    • Content ranks consistently high for targeted keywords.
    • Improved quality and relevance of content should lead to a decrease in bounce rates.
    • Content that is SEO-friendly, genuinely helpful, and accurate for students.
    • Older content is periodically updated and optimised, ensuring it stays relevant.
    • Success in generating various content types (blog posts, FAQs, webinars, etc.) that cater to different segments of the target audience.
    • Ensuring all strategies align with the latest search engine guidelines and best practices.
    • Ensure all content complies with legal standards, including copyright laws and data protection regulations.
    • Highly analytical - always looking for more data, including performance metrics and behavioural and demographic data.

    • The number of organic visitors coming from search engines.
    • The number of leads generated through content marketing efforts showcasing the role’s contribution to the enrolment funnel.
    • Evaluate content quality through user feedback, ratings, and reviews, ensuring content resonates with the target audience.
    • Track the regularity of content publication to ensure consistency in content marketing efforts.
    • Assess the influence of content marketing on various stages of the enrolment pipeline, from lead generation to application.
    • Track social sharing metrics, including shares, likes, ad retweets, to gauge the virality and amplification of content.
    • Compare content performance metrics against industry benchmarks and competitors to identify areas of strength and improvement.

Requirements

Essential Skills, Experience and Qualifications

    • Proven experience in content marketing.
    • Understanding of CMS and website infrastructure.
    • Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
    • Familiarity with social media platforms.
    • Knowledge of graphic design software, such as Canva, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Highly desirable

    • Experience using Salesforce CRM, Marketing Cloud and a CPD.
    • Experience in content marketing for the Higher E
