Job Description
RPO Recruitment is seeking a passionate and experienced ESG Analyst to join our clients team in Johanesburg. As an ESG Analyst, you will play a critical role in evaluating environmental, social, and governance factors to assess the sustainability and ethical impact of investments. You will work closely with our clients to provide them with insightful analysis and recommendations to help them align their investment strategies with their ESG goals. Responsibilities- Conduct thorough research on ESG factors and sustainability trends to stay updated with industry best practices
- Analyze company reports, stakeholder engagement, and other relevant data to assess ESG performance
- Evaluate the impact of environmental, social, and governance factors on a company's financial performance
- Collaborate with portfolio managers and investment teams to integrate ESG considerations into investment decision-making process
- Provide ESG analysis and research to support client communication and reporting
- Assist in the development and implementation of ESG metrics and frameworks
- Stay informed about ESG-related regulations and market developments
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Environmental Studies, or related field
- Proven experience in ESG analysis, sustainable investing, or related field
- Strong understanding of ESG frameworks and principles (e.g., Global Reporting Initiative, UN Sustainable Development Goals)
- Knowledge of investment analysis and financial modeling
- Familiarity with relevant ESG data providers and tools
- Excellent analytical and research skills
- Effective written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting
- Passionate about sustainable investing and making a positive impact
