RPO Recruitment is currently assisting a well-established retail company in their search for a Senior Merchandise amp; Location Planner. This is a key role within the company, responsible for developing and implementing effective merchandise and location planning strategies to drive sales and profitability.
The Senior Merchandise amp; Location Planner will work closely with the buying, marketing, and operations teams to ensure optimal product assortment and allocation to each store location. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and a solid understanding of retail merchandising concepts.

- Develop and implement merchandise and location plans that align with the company's sales and profitability goals
- Analyze sales trends, inventory levels, and customer demand to optimize product assortment and allocation
- Collaborate with buying team to develop seasonal assortment plans and identify potential growth opportunities
- Monitor and evaluate store performance and make recommendations for store-level adjustments
- Manage and maintain accurate inventory levels at each store location
- Communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth execution of merchandise and location plans
- Stay updated with market trends and competitive landscape to anticipate potential challenges and opportunities
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Merchandising, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in merchandise planning or retail buying
- Strong analytical and numerical skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Proven ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Knowledge of retail merchandising concepts and best practices
