Job Description

Our Client is currently seeking a Financial Planning Associate to join their team of professionals in Cape Town. The main objective of this role it to prepare financial proposals and assist members with general enquiries where the financial advisors’ involvement is not required. You must have a full understanding of investment products, legislative requirements relating to investments and retirement, as well as tax in the context of financial planning.

Responsibilities
  • Investment Products knowledge:
    • Living annuities
    • Life annuities
    • Retirement annuities
    • Preservation funds
    • Discretionary investments
    • Endowments
    • Tax-free savings investments
  • Value Chain Management:
    • Develop productive working relationships with colleagues and clients within and outside the organization.
    • Propose solutions and draft financial recommendations aligned with client goals, needs, and objectives.
  • Prepare Financial Planning Proposals:
    • Ensure proposals are prepared within SLA timeframes.
    • Proposals should be accurate and in the correct format, captured in the CRM system.
  • Prepare Portfolio Reviews:
    • Prepare reviews for clients within SLA timeframes.
    • Reviews should be accurate, in the correct format, captured in the CRM system.
    • Discuss reviews with clients, capture feedback on CRM.
    • Highlight income sustainability, notify members if income is not sustainable.
  • Case Management:
    • Attend to case requests within SLA timeframes.
    • Categorize cases correctly, provide accurate feedback.
    • Capture all cases in the CRM system.
  • General Administration:
    • Keep templates up-to-date with legislative changes.
    • Test new CRM functions and processes as required.
    • Provide technical support on retirement funds, legislation, and tax to advisors.
    • Authorize CCM payments.

Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree
    • Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning
    • CFP (Certified Financial Planner)
    • Regulatory Examination (RE5) (Completed)
    • Attention to detail
    • Effective communication skills
    • Deadline driven
