Our client, a leading engineering firm specializing in water and sanitation projects, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their team in Bethlehem, Free State. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, design, and implementation of water and sanitation projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of the project lifecycle, including project planning, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning
- Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resources
- Coordinate and collaborate with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure successful project delivery
- Monitor project progress, identify and mitigate risks, and resolve any project-related issues
- Prepare and present reports on project status, including budget, schedule, and performance metrics
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry best practices
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams
- Actively participate in business development activities, including client meetings, proposal writing, and project presentations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- 4+ Years of relevant experience
- Proven experience managing water and sanitation projects
- Strong knowledge of water and sanitation engineering principles and practices
- Excellent project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation
- Experience with contract management and procurement processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Proficiency in project management software
- Professional Engineering (PE) certification is preferred
- Valid driver's license
