As a Unit Manager Mining, you will be responsible for overseeing all mining operations within the unit, ensuring efficient and safe production, and achieving targeted performance goals. Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and direction to the mining operations team
- Develop and implement strategies and plans to optimize mining operations
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements
- Monitor and analyze production performance and implement corrective actions as needed
- Manage and allocate resources effectively to meet production targets
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency gains
- Build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, including employees, contractors, and regulatory agencies
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or related field
- Mine Manager Certificate of Competency
- 6 years of experience in mining operations, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Managerial Leadership Programme
- Computer Literate in MS Office
- Medically Fit
- Sound financial acumen and budget management skills
