Job Description

Hire Resolve's client is currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Engineering Manager to join their team in the role of Head of Department (HOD) level.

As an Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of engineers, overseeing engineering projects, and ensuring the efficient and effective operations of the engineering department.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing engineering strategies, goals, and objectives
  • Overseeing the planning, design, and execution of engineering projects
  • Ensuring compliance with engineering standards and regulations
  • Managing and leading a team of engineers, providing guidance and support
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives and optimizing engineering processes

Requirements

  • Engineering degree (Mechanical, Electrical and Mechatronics)
  • A proven track record of ten years in Product development and Project Management
  • 10 years of experience in automation and machine-building engineering role
  • 5+ years of experience in effectively managing and leading people
  • Foster and empower a high-performing, collaborative engineering team that works cross functionally to drive innovation and identify and apply technology and to achieve strategic goals.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills that enable them to communicate and build relationships at all levels of the business and work well as part of a team.
  • A strong technical background with In-depth knowledge of automation tools, machine-building technologies, and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly for both technical and non-technical teams.
  • Actively listen to understand, and provide timely, constructive feedback to empower your team.
  • Exceptional planning and organising skills.
  • Assertiveness to push back constructively find the alignment and priority with the broader team that will maximise momentum in achieving strategic objectives and lead others to achieve successful outcomes for projects.
  • Grit to maintain the momentum of the team to achieve intended outcomes.
  • Willing and competent to make decisions in the right direction that maintain and build momentum
