Hire Resolve's client, a reputable mining company in Mpumalanga, is seeking an Engineering Standards Officer to join their team. The Engineering Standards Officer will be responsible for ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations, and implementing best practices in engineering processes.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain engineering standards and procedures
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance
- Provide training and guidance to staff on engineering standards and best practices
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advances in engineering technology
- Coordinate with various departments to implement and enforce engineering standards
- Collaborate with external stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Safety / Risk Management
- Mechanical / Electrical Trade Test Certificate
- Write and review underground engineering safety standards
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role in the mining industry
- Strong knowledge of engineering standards and regulations
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skill
