Hire Resolve, a leading recruitment firm specializing in the mining industry is currently seeking a skilled Crushing Plant Maintenance Fitter for a mining company in Gauteng.
The Crushing Plant Maintenance Fitter will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and inspection of crushing and screening plant equipment and machinery. This will involve performing regular maintenance tasks, troubleshooting issues, and carrying out repairs to ensure the efficient and safe operation of the crushing plant. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical maintenance within the mining industry.
Responsibilities
- Perform regular maintenance tasks on crushing and screening plant equipment and machinery
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues and perform necessary repairs
- Inspect equipment for safety and efficiency
- Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, including work orders, repair logs, and equipment histories
- Collaborate with other team members to identify and implement process improvements
- Follow all health and safety protocols and regulations
- Ensure compliance with maintenance schedules and deadlines
Requirements
- Fitter Trade Test Certificate
- Ability to cut and weld
- Minimum of 10 years experience in crushers and screens in the mining industry
- Strong mechanical maintenance skills, particularly in the maintenance of crushing plant equipment
- Experience in troubleshooting and diagnosing issues with crushing plant machinery
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and protocols in the mining industry
- Relevant technical qualifications and certifications
