Senior Python Developer

RPO Recruitment is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Python Developer to join our client's team in Johannesburg, Gauteng. As a leading IT recruitment agency, we are dedicated to finding the best talent for our clients in the software development industry.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Python applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements, and translate them into technical specifications.
• Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle, including planning, designing, coding, testing, and deployment.
• Perform code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
• Troubleshoot and debug system issues, and suggest improvements and optimizations.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements

• BSc Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant field
• +7 years’ experience in one or more programming languages, with +3 years of solid Python experience
• Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming, algorithms, and data structures
• Experience with Python frameworks such as Django or Flask
• Experience with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL
• Familiarity with source code versioning tools, such as Git
• Knowledge of front-end technologies, such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, is a plus
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
