Hire Resolve's Client is currently looking for an experienced Project Manager - Mining to join our client's team in Johannesburg. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing mining projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed within budget, on schedule, and meet the client's specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute mining projects, including developing project scopes, timelines, and budgets
- Coordinate and manage project teams, including contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders
- Monitor project progress, identify and resolve any issues that arise, and provide regular updates to the client
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations
- Manage project finances, including tracking costs, approving invoices, and preparing project reports
- Collaborate with clients to determine project requirements and address any concerns or changes
- Oversee the procurement of equipment, materials, and services required for the project
- Ensure effective communication and coordination between all parties involved in the project
Requirements
- Proven 8 years of working experience of which 5 years should be at a Project Manager level in the mining industry
- Strong knowledge of mining operations and processes
- Excellent project management and leadership skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Relevant degree in Engineering, Mining, or a related field
- PMP certification is preferred
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required
