Job Description

Hire Resolve's client is currently seeking a highly motivated HR Officer to join their client's team in the mining industry. As an HR Officer, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the company's human resources functions, including recruitment, employee relations, training and development, and performance management. You will work closely with the management team to ensure that their HR policies and procedures are in line with industry best practices and are effectively implemented throughout the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that are in compliance with local labour laws and regulations
  • Must have good knowledge of the labour act.
  • Manage the recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates
  • Do monthly payroll/fortnight for around 100 people
  • Oversee employee onboarding and orientation programs
  • Provide guidance and support to employees on HR-related matters, including benefits, policies, and procedures
  • Handle employee relations issues, including grievances, disciplinary actions, and investigations
  • Experience in psychometric test to check if the employee is suitable candidate for their position.
  • Coordinate and conduct employee performance evaluations
  • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR database
  • Stay up-to-date with HR trends and best practices

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in an HR role, in the mining industry
  • Strong knowledge of local labour laws and regulations
  • Fluent in Afrikaans and English
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HR software
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Professional certification in HR is a plus
