Senior Java Developer

RPO Recruitment’s client is urgently seeking the expertise of a Senior Java Developer located in Midrand, Gauteng.

Responsibilities:

• Developing with Restful API interfaces using Java, Spring and other technologies
• General troubleshooting and debugging
• Code-level application security (IAM roles, credentials, encryption, etc.)
• Programming with AWS APIs
• Review test and debug team member’s work
• Analyse and understand existing programs, job flows, and components.
• Perform unit, integration, and parallel testing.
• Assist in investigating production issues and provide solutions.
• Design reusable frameworks Environment management and layout design
• Work with multiple teams in different locations and time zones
• Perform program design, development, and code management.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies and update versions of existing ones.

Requirements

• Good understanding of Design Patterns, Data structures and Algorithms

• Good Experience and knowledge in Java language
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required
• Strong in Java SDK 1.8 or Java SDK 11, Spring Boot (Embedded Tomcat), REST amp; SOAP API skills
• Hands-On experience with Database development and tools with MY SQL and SQL Server.
• Good experience and knowledge in developing RESTFUL Services
• Good experience and knowledge in developing Microservices.
• Some Experience and knowledge in deploying and developing using AWS.
• Ability to explain complex information in a clear manner.
• Self-starter attitude and the ability to make decisions independently.
• Demonstrated ability to work with global teams across time zones.
• Team player possessing strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, complex technical environment.
