RPO Recruitment is currently representing a leading mining company based in Gauteng who is in need of an experienced Safety Manager to join their team.
Responsibilities:
- Carry a 2.17.4 legal appointment as per the MHSA (Safety Manager)
- Develop, implement, and maintain the company's health and safety program
- Ensure compliance with local and international health and safety regulations
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and risks
- Investigate accidents and incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
- Provide training and education to employees on safety policies and procedures
- Develop emergency response plans and procedures
- Maintain safety records and prepare reports for management
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in safety management
- Strong knowledge of local and international health and safety regulations
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
