JOBJACK is looking for a talented and motivated BI Analyst to join our team. As a BI Analyst at JOBJACK, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing and maintaining sustainable BI solutions to enable business innovation, stakeholder success and data-driven decisions throughout JOBJACK. You will work closely with stakeholders across the organization to understand their data requirements and develop reports and dashboards that effectively communicate actionable information. You will be responsible for gathering, cleaning, and transforming data to ensure accuracy and relevance. Additionally, you will collaborate with the Data team to design and maintain data models that support analysis and reporting.

• Write complex SQL queries to extract, manipulate and analyse data from various databases.
• Conduct unit testing and troubleshooting.
• Design, build, and deploy BI solutions (e.g., data warehousing models).
• Utilize data modelling techniques to design and implement efficient data structures within BI tools.

• Create visually compelling and interactive reports and dashboards using Power BI.
• Create insights from conducting data analysis to provide relevant visualizations for stakeholders using Power BI.

• Translate business needs to technical specifications.
• Communicate findings and insights clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Understand and utilise SQL to extract, manipulate, and analyse data from various databases.
• Understanding of ERP, CRM, or other relevant business applications.

• Collaborate with teams to integrate systems.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements and translate them into actionable insights.
• Promote open and respectful communication, encouraging teammates to share opinions and contribute constructively.
• Build strong relationships with teammates, managers, and relevant stakeholders.

• Develop and maintain technical documentation.
• Maintain documentation of requirements, data definitions, and reporting processes.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of Power BI reports, ensuring ease of understanding and future reference for team members.
• Maintain and support data analytics platforms.

• Utilise ETL processes and tools to work with and optimise data pipelines.
• Evaluate and improve existing BI systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent experience
• Certification in Microsoft Power BI or related technologies
• 1+ years of experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst or similar role
• Experience documenting business requirements and reporting processes
• Familiarity with data modeling and ETL concepts
• Hands-on experience in data modelling techniques and the implementation of efficient data structures within BI tools
• Proficient in SQL and data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to communicate complex data insights to stakeholders
• Independent worker with an awareness to manage multiple projects
• Innovative thinker to identify and fill gaps in the data environment
• Ability to establish governance and rules for managing the data environment
