Location: Cape Town (2 days in-office and 3 days remote) | Candidates outside of Cape Town will still be considered
Reporting line: Creative Director
Contract Type: Although we currently don't have a specific job opening, we are actively building a dynamic talent pool of Graphic Designers to enhance scalability during peak work periods.
Job summary:
We’re looking for an experienced Ed Tech Graphic Designers to join our Talent Pool. Construct is a full service online learning partner, you will be working closely with learning design principles to design course graphics, storyboarding for animation, and creating course content related illustrations. Our ideal candidate would be a creative who enjoys creating beautiful designs with excellent attention to detail. They should be comfortable working within a distributed team, working to deadlines, and be super organized!
Our dedicated Graphic Designers will be responsible for creating design solutions that deliver high visual impact, be able to interpret brand styles effectively and communicate well with the rest of the team across time zones.
Responsibilities:
- Designing, reviewing and amending course graphics to brief and brand
- Creating animation storyboards (2D, highly illustrated inline with brand)
- Facilitating feedback and implementing changes
- Fulfilling other graphic-related tasks (infographics, video graphics, GIFs)
- Uphold accessibility standards
Update various progress platforms as you work (Trello, Slack, OA, etc.) - Attend meetings as needed
- Provide creative input and a learning voice to your work
Requirements
You have:
- Skill level: Mid-weight (Full time)
- 3+ years experience in delivering creative graphic content to client briefs
- Adobe Illustrator
- Strong layout and design skills
- Storyboarding experience for motion graphics
