Job Description
RPO Recruitment is currently seeking a talented and experienced Structural Engineer to join our client's team. As a leading recruitment agency, we specialize in finding the best candidates for our clients' needs.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing structures, such as buildings and bridges, and ensuring that they are safe and strong. You will work both in our office, where you will design and plan project details, and on-site, providing technical advice to construction workers.
To be successful in this role, you should have hands-on experience using various construction methods and materials, as well as advanced knowledge of AutoCAD. Strong project management and analytical skills are also essential for this position.
Requirements
- Qualifications:Degree in Structural Engineering. Candidate Engineer with ECSA, working towards Pr.Eng certification.
- Software Proficiency:Strong command of structural engineering analysis software like Autodesk Robot, Space Gass, etc.
- Building Codes Knowledge:Familiarity with relevant NZ building codes and standards (timber, steel, concrete, etc.) is a plus.
- Experience:Over 3 years of hands-on design experience in the field.
- Communication Skills:Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities are essential.
- Team Player:Capable of both independent work and collaborative efforts within a team environment.
- Advantageous Skills:Seismic design experience and a track record in preparing concept designs for diverse building structures.
- Technical Expertise:Ability to conduct detailed analysis, run complex models, prepare technical reports, and perform peer reviews of calculations and design concepts.
- Coordinated Collaboration:Experience coordinating designs with architects, clients, and other project consultants.
- Innovative Mindset:Critical thinking toward design, digital workflows, and a drive to enhance existing processes.
