Job Description

RPO Recruitment's client is seeking a dedicated Human Resource Manager to join their team in Cape Town. Our client is a innovating organisation in the software development industry and is looking for someone to manage their human capital needs and strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct orientation sessions for new hires and ensure smooth onboarding experiences.
  • Handle employee relations matters, address grievances, and mediate conflicts.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture through employee engagement initiatives.
  • Promote corporate values and shape a positive culture.
  • Implement and oversee performance evaluation processes, providing guidance to managers and employees.
  • Assist in the development of performance improvement plans and conduct performance coaching sessions.
  • Identify training needs and coordinate training programs to enhance employees' skills and knowledge.
  • Support career development initiatives and mentorship programs.
  • Stay up-to-date with labour laws and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to maintain a healthy work environment.
  • Administer employee benefits programs and address employee queries related to benefits and perks.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and generate reports for management review.
  • Analyse HR metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an HR Manager, HR Generalist, or in a similar role within the technology industry of 10 years or more.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to all levels of management in the company.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong commitment to community within the organisation and an ability to demonstrate kindness.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Solid understanding of HR best practices, labour laws, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A knowledge of UK HR laws and regulations would be an advantage.
  • Travel required for company lunches and get-togethers
