Video Producer (with Project Management skills)

Location: Cape Town (2 days in-office and 3 days remote)

Short term fixed term contract (circa 6-7 months)
Job summary:
We’re looking for an experienced edtech Video Producer to join our growing team in Cape Town. This role best suits candidates with strong project management skill sets who are comfortable organising international filming. Construct is a full service online learning partner working with international clients from all over the world. We are looking for someone to join our Video Producer team who can coordinate all aspects of media production, from pre-production planning and filming, through to post-production and delivery. They work directly with our top university clients, Learning Designers, full Project Managers as well as closely with the production team on the ground in Cape Town.
Our ideal candidate should be extremely organised, able to work under pressure, and be very adaptable. Having prior experience in the Ed Tech industry would be an advantage. Training and support will be given throughout the position, and a good personality fit with a willingness to learn will outweigh experience.
Responsibilities:
- Media content planning
- Pre production amp; arranging filming (with international venders)
- Prepping presenters to be filmed
- Facilitating remote (laptop) filming with SMEs
- Facilitate the log and transfer of footage
- Facilitate reviews of work and deliver final media (video, graphic and motion graphic media)
- Provide creative input and a learning voice to your work
- Manage media budgets closely with Project Managers and escalate risks in a timely manner
- Project Manage the media portion of multiple projects
Requirements
You have:
- Skill level: Mid-Senior (Full time)
- 4+ years Experience in producing, project management or production coordination
- Pre and post production workflow knowledge
- Experience and confidence in client communication
- Ping-pong skills (nice but not necessary)
