Job Description

Using the HubSpot platform, we provide solutions to increase our customer's level of CRM sophistication as well as deliver strategic consultancy across marketing, sales, service, websites, and business operations - and we do it all whilst trying to strike a balance between professionalism and being human.
As a Front-end Developer at Huble you are responsible for building website pages, website modules, landing pages amp; emailers. We are a HubSpot agency and this means that you will primarily be working on the Hubspot platform. We empower you to work autonomously with the necessary support structure to deliver your tasks to a high level of quality and within the timeframe allocated. Huble supports the principle of code reuse and as such has an internal programme for collating reusable Hubspot modules. Any modules you create are encouraged to be reusable where appropriate or possible.
Having a good understanding of HTTP protocol and how websites load in general will enable you to write efficient code and develop pages that load optimally. This is not a client facing role, but from time to time you will be invited to attend client meetings as a technical expert. We encourage you to voice your opinion to ensure that Huble’s technical expertise is effectively communicated.
These will be your key performance areas:
1) Quality, Efficiency and Effectiveness of Code Produced
- Build new website pages, modules, templates, landing pages or emails using HTML, CSS and Javascript within Hubspot CMS.
2) Debugging code for optimum functioning
- Maintenance and bug resolution on existing website pages, modules, templates, landing pages or emails as reported by the QA specialist or as reported by AMs.
- Ensure that all bug resolution is accurately fed back into the relevant QA document.
- Make sure all development is cross-browser compatible. We support the latest versions of Firefox, Safari, IE Edge, Opera and Chrome.
3) Adherence to Huble Digital’s Front-end Development Standard
- Ensure that Huble’s frontend development coding standards are adhered to.
- Ensure that updates are taken live in accordance with Huble’s standard process.
4) Overall Deliver Quality Work | Proactively Improve Processes amp; Practices
- Proactively research and present new ideas to improve our website experience for prospects, leads, and customers.
- Participate in scoping sessions to accurately translate client requirements into development hours/costs.
Requirements
This role is best suited for someone who has the following:
- Mid-Senior level overall experience as a front-end developer in HubSpot or similar.
- HTML5: a thorough understanding of HTML and best practices.
- Ability to write semantically correct code that does not contain bloat and adheres to Huble’s frontend standards.
- JavaScript: a solid knowledge of JavaScript is required to enable the team to effectively use JavaScript and/or JavaScript libraries and plugins to provide advanced functionality and feature-rich web experiences.
- CSS3: experience with modern CSS practices. Extensive use of flexbox.
- jQuery amp; plugins: a comprehensive understanding and good experience using jQuery and plugins. An ability to identify appropriate plugins to solve for the client and deliver features required by the designs the development team is tasked with implementing.
- Bootstrap: knowledge of modern Bootstrap versions is a must, but experience with older versions (v 2.3.2) is also vital.
- Familiar with HubSpot CMS.
- Understanding of cross-platform Web development, including IE Edge, Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Opera.
- Experience working with design systems is a plus.
