Currently, we are seeking a Database Administrator (DBA) to join our clients team. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, be able to work independently, and have excellent problem-solving skills. Responsibilities
- Design, implement and maintain database systems
- Monitor database performance, implement changes, and apply new patches and versions when required
- Ensure that all databases are backed up and can be restored promptly if required
- Work closely with technical teams to implement and optimize database solutions
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to database performance, security and reliability
- Analyze database requirements and design new databases or update existing ones as required
- Prepare reports and documentation related to database performance and system availability
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- At least 3 years of experience as a Database Administrator
- Proficient in SQL and experience with data management systems such as Oracle, SQL Server, or MySQL
- Experience with database design, backups, recovery, and security
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of cloud-based database solutions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
