An industry-leading client is looking for a Internal Technical Auditor to join their team based in Pinetown, KwaZulu Natal.
The successful candidate will be responsible for executing the internal audits in accordance with specific management standards requirements i.e. ISO and IATF with a specific focus on technical process and engineering functions.
Responsibilities
- Assessing system compliance to customer specific/ Company internal requirements
- Evaluate policies and procedures for compliance to standard requirements
- Understanding Risk and opportunity evaluation as required by the standards
- Competence in use of core quality tools
- Interpretation and understanding engineering drawings and specifications
- Assessing application and compliance to relevant Legal and other requirements
- Assessing the relevance and status of established Objectives, targets, and Program
- Assessing compliance to Health and Safety management system requirements
- Assessing compliance to Energy management system requirements
- Planning and scheduling of audits to achieve timing milestones
- Developing and compiling audit questionnaires
- Compiling Audit Corrective action requests according to standard requirements
- Timely follow up and close out of audit corrective action responses
Requirements
- Minimum Technical/Engineering National Diploma (Mechanical Engineering)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in manufacturing industry as a Junior engineer or Engineering technician
- Knowledge of quality management systems e.g. IATF 16949, ISO 9001
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint etc.)
- Internal Auditor certification e.g., IATF 16949, ISO 9001 (ISO 14001, ISO 45001 an added advantage)
- Automotive industry experience is advantageous
