Oza Holdings, a leading company in the mining amp; metals industry, is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing heavy machinery and earthmoving equipment in our mining operations. Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repairs on heavy machinery and earthmoving equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, and loaders
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and fix mechanical and electrical issues
- Maintain and document proper records of equipment maintenance and repairs
- Conduct inspections on machinery to identify areas for repair or replacement
- Coordinate with team members to ensure equipment is serviced and kept in safe working condition
- Follow safety protocols and regulations at all times
- Operate machinery in a safe manner and assist with other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a diesel mechanic, preferably in the mining industry
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems and hydraulic systems
- Ability to read and understand technical manuals and schematics
- Experience with welding, fabrication, and machining preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Willingness to work flexible hours and work in challenging and demanding environments.
