Knowledge Pele Dev Institute (KDI) which is an entity within Pele Energy Group is looking to employ a SEED Junior Practitioner who will assist in identifying and designing integrated community projects that make a real impact in the vulnerable communities we work in. They will support formulated Socio- economic Development programmes in line with the mission of the organisation, compliance requirements and the expectations of clients and stakeholders. The SEED Junior practitioner participates in community boards, committees, stakeholder relations and the general community as a contact person where applicable. Together with the KDI Team, they are responsible for all scoped SED programmes implementation and stakeholder engagement and periodic reporting. The SEED Junior Practitioner reports to the SED Programmes Manager within KDI.
The SEED Junior Practitioner is responsible for supporting the programmes manger where required, and supporting other Business Units in KP Dev.- The Junior Practitioner will work with the KDI team to interpret the clients’ and organisations' needs and requirements in terms of the SED programmes.
- Responsible for identifying SED project opportunities through consultation with relevant stakeholders.
- Supports, communicates and documents proposed projects, including budget estimations and resources plans.
- Keeps records of SED programmes beneficiaries, applications, results, and correspondence.
- Supports the team in all training activities such as logistics preparation (invoicing, engagement plans and travel logs), trainer support, training registration and feedback.
- Responsible for SED administration and communication with the programme beneficiaries, stakeholders, and the general community.
- Be a point of contact for enquiries from the public and stakeholders regarding programme opportunities and channels to the relevant unit.
- Support Programmes Manager in liaising with external agencies, such as SETAs, TVET Colleges, and Councils of Trade, by arranging meetings and following up on matters.
- Conduct desktop research on skills development opportunities in the Renewable Energy sector as per task.
- Assist with the organisation of internship placement workplaces for experiential learning purposes.
- Keep all learner records and other stakeholder records according to the approved quality management systems for the Programme Manager to monitor and control.
- Assist Facilitators in implementing skills development training programmes for the participants on selected businesses/trades, as required.
Requirements
- Completed Diploma or Degree in Business Management, Accounting, and Financial Management.
- At least 2 years of working experience in the learning and development space would be beneficial.
- Experience in Administration and Learner Management Systems is desirable.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must have a passion for learner support and development.
- Must have a passion for online programmes delivery as a rapidly growing field of expertise.
